Not sure who Jake is...

This weekend I had the chance to try a new pop-up brunch spot in Ocean Beach called Jake & Eggs. This quaint little spot is located inside Sundara, which operates as an Indian restaurant at night and a wonderful brunch spot during the day. Be prepared for a little wait, depending on what time you decide to roll out of bed. You can also order online, and take it to the beach if you choose! Let me tell you, TRY EVERYTHING!!

The menu is short and sweet, which is just how I like it. A combination of everything sweet and savory, with beautiful look dishes. If you are thirsty, the mango mimosas are made with Naked Juice, and are amazing. They of course have a selection of coffees and other drinks, but did you really brunch if you didn't order a mimosa?

...And the food... even better than the drinks. They have French Toast, burritos, hash, avocado toast, kimchi fried rice for those of you feeling adventurous and a dish called "The Good Decision". The whole menu looked so amazing, It was hard to choose what to order. I went with the Biscuits and Gravy, which has two of their AMAZING homemade biscuits topped with sauce and thyme gravy, two eggs and served with potatoes. If you are not ordering this, get the side of biscuits, which comes with their homemade jam! Our table also got two Chilaquiles Stack's because they were that irresistible.

The meal was amazing, the service was very good and loved the over feel of the place. Jake and Eggs does charge a non-negotiable 18% service and tip fee, which goes directly to their waitstaff. This is listed on their menu as well, but 100% worth the wait!
