Restaurant of the Month: OB Warehouse

Quite possibly one of my favorite new places since my recent move down to Point Loma, is OB Warehouse. Located on Newport Ave. in the heart of Ocean Beach, the second story restaurant serves up a dish for everyone at every meal.

I would have to say, for affordability and taste, my favorite is Brunch, with Dinner a close second. The inviting environment and friendly staff was a nice addition to the delicious food being served, and the staff always seems to present themselves with great customer service.

First things first, order the cinnamon rolls; i promise they will not disappoint. Once you have your order in, mimosas are next on deck. They have flavored juices (as shows above) that will make your morning that much more flavorful. If you are not a fan of champagne and orange juice in the morning (in which case, we cannot be friends) they have a full Bloody Mary bar, which can be customized if you are feeling up to it.

For Brunch, my favorite has been the Dirty Fries, add Short Rib. Yes, i know your mouth is watering at the thought, check the picture above to begin salivating. If you are not quite into French Fries for breakfast, their Benny's are to die for, and the Chiliqualies are also amazing. Add some hot sauce for an extra punch, and you will be ready to go for the day!

Dinner is a whole new ball game. Sit on the patio, and sometimes they project movies on the big white wall behind you, or take a seat next to the kitchen. I am a big fan of the Roasted Pear and Fig Flatbread, and Pork Shoulder FlatBread. If you are in a green mood, hit up the Roasted Beet Salad, but make sure you get something more, the salad serving is pretty small.

Entrees vary, but my favorites are the Sea Scallops and the Short Rib Pappardelle (yes i love short rib). Both dishes will leave you wanting more, so save room for dessert and treat yourself to one of their 7 yummy desserts. Personal favorite is their Blonde Brownie, but these are baked to order and do take some time to bake and serve. So don't order this if you are in a rush to get home.
