Taco Tuesday has become a very common occurrence in our household. Thankfully, my belly loves it and so does my wallet. I love finding deals for cheap tacos, at restaurants that might otherwise serve tacos for a crazy amount. I have yet to reach all the Taco Tuesday spots around town that I would like to, but here are a few of the top contenders.

1. Puesto at the Headquarters Location: Downtown San Diego
Starting at 3 pm Puesto serves $3.50 tacos, $6 Margaritas (only 3-6pm) and $3.50 Modelo cans. The fun and colorful atmosphere accompanied by tacos that taste absolutely amazing, is the reason this is top of my list. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation, this place gets BUSY but is well worth the wait.
2. Rockin Baja Lobster
Location: Old Town
With multiple locations, and huge dining rooms capable of holding large quantities of people, Rockin Baja lobster comes in second on my list. The atmosphere is very fun, sometimes accompanied by live music, and always accompanied by a large margarita. Street tacos and Chicken Fajita tacos fall under $5 during Taco Tuesday, quite a steal.
3. Oscar's Mexican Seafood
Location: Pacific Beach
If you have not visited Oscar's Mexican Seafood, i suggest you do so soon. Oscar's does not have a specific Taco Tuesday, so feel free to visit when you choose, and keep the delicious taste and cheap prices no matter the day. The fresh fish, great size tacos, and location keep this small Mexican seafood joint high on my list. Also, don't forget to order the fish Ceviche, absolutely delicious.
4. Mike's Taco Club
Location: Ocean Beach
Although I have not personally eaten here yet, I know plenty of people who have, and they have nothing but good things to say. I also favor Mike's Taco Club because they are in my town, ocean beach, right at the end of Newport. If you can't find seating take your taco one block west and enjoy it on the beach.
5. South Beach Bar & Grille
Location: Ocean Beach
Another Ocean Beach staple, with delicious tacos, and amazing views. If you can score a seat on the upper deck, you can enjoy your tacos and drinks with a view of the Ocean Beach Pier along the pacific ocean. Keep in mind this is a bar, so it gets very crowded! All tacos on Taco Tuesday are $2.75, with the exception of their Lobster Tacos. Do yourself a favor and try the Shark Taco; why? Why not. How many people can say they have had a shark taco?
6. Barrio Star
Location: Downtown San Diego
Barrio Star became a favorite when I walked in to find pink walls with Mexican decoration and sugar skulls. A small quaint restaurant packed with flavor earned itself a spot on my top ten. Get their early, or expect a wait, as most of the seating is community seating, so can sometimes take a bit longer. Tacos range from $3.25-$3.75 and are served all day long. They also have AMAZING Mexican style corn, if that is something you are into, and delicious margaritas. Come with a group, or your best friend, and get $10 off a pitcher.
7. Miguel's Cocina
Location: 4S Ranch, Rancho Bernardo
Close to lots of offices, and surrounded by a plethora of new housing developments, Miguel's serves up a variety of cheap tacos a la cart. Miguel's has lots of locations, so check to see what is closest to you, and if you can sit on the patio, i would highly recommend it.
8. Blind Burro
Location: Downtown San Diego
Taco Tuesday, otherwise known as Baja Tuesday at The Blind Burro is an experience itself. Guests can also take part in the Tequila Exchange, so you can watch the price of tequila go up or crash down depending on what guests are drinking! The Baja Tuesday deals are also great, served from 4pm - 11pm and include drinks as well as Taco specials. For $17 you can get bottomless margaritas with a 2 hour wait limit (plan to UBER/LYFT) and you have the choice of 2 tacos ranging from $6-$8. Keep in mind, Kitchen closes at 10 and the bar closes at 11, so don't come starving at 10:30 and expect to get food!
9. Brigantine
Location: Del Mar
Located just behind the Del Mar Race Tracks, and right off the 101, Brigantine serves up a fresh and tasty Taco Tuesday. The taco's are delicious, but the reason it sits at number 9, is the special is only $1 off all featured tacos. Not a huge discount on Tacos, but the yummy flavor keeps them on my top 10. The view of the fair, and the beach also doesn't hurt.
10. El Pueblo
Location: Cardiff
I am putting El Pueblo on this list for Taco Tuesday, but for the cheap and affordable prices it can be eaten at any time. El Pueblo is tucked back on Birmingham, right next to a Valero gas station and car wash. A great place for people to drop their cars off and have a cheap meal while waiting for their car.... A great place to eat tacos on Tuesday, because they are delicious and cheap... And a great place to eat drunk food, at any time of the day, as they are open 24/7. Driving by this place, I am sure you might not immediately think of going in, but if you can find a parking spot i guarantee its worth the try! Don't be alarmed when you pay $.99 a fish taco, or under $7 bucks for small mini tacos piled high with meat.
